Bounty of Rs 11 lakh on Head of Mamata Banerjee, Uproar in Rajya Sabha, TMC Demands Strict Action

New Delhi: On Wednesday, there was a huge uproar reported in Rajya Sabha as the Trinamool Congress party demanded strict action against BJP youth wing worker Yogesh Varshney for put a bounty of Rs. 11 lakh on head of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. According to the sources, Varshney had offered an amount of Rs 11 lakh to the one who gets him ‘Mamata Banerjee’s head’. Some other parties like the Samajwadi Party and Congress also supported TMC MPs’ demand for a strict action against the BJP youth worker.

However, Mukhtar Abbas Navi, minister of NDA replied saying that the government of Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal had the power to take any action against anyone and therefore, it could take action against Varshney too.

Jaya Bachchan, SP MP slammed out at the government of BJP saying, “BJP government must take strict steps for women protection aggressively. You are protecting cows, but atrocities are being committed on women.”


In a nutshell, on Wednesday a youth wing worker of BJP from Aligarh, Yogesh Varshney, offered a bounty of Rs 11 lakh on Mamata Banerjee’s head. This statement comes a day after a lathi charge in Birbhum during a Hanuman Jayanti procession in West Bengal.


“Those who will cut and bring the head of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s to me, I will give that person an amount of Rs 11 lakh. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee never allows Hindus to celebrate Saraswati Puja, fairs during Ram Navami and during Hanuman Jayanti procession, people were lathi charged and brutally beaten up by Mamta Banerjee police. She allow to organizes Iftar party and always encourage and supports Muslims,” Yogesh Varshney was heard saying in a video recording.


On this statement, Saugata Roy, TMC leader said, “Strong action must be taken by the government against those people who make such provocations.”

According to reports, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, BJP national spokesperson, alleged that the police which is in control of West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee brutally charged lathis on Hindu participants at the ‘peaceful’ rally during Hanuman Jayanti. He also stated that “No government in India has ever shown such discrimination and brutality before the Trinamool Party”.


However, various people on social media criticized TMC government of West Bengal to allegedly charged lathis on the Hindu devotees and not allowing them a rally on Hanuman Jayanti, while TMC government always organize Iftar parties and give permission to rallies during Muslim festivals, why this discrimination? People asked.
