Lucknow: The newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath will head first Cabinet meeting of Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday April 4 at 5 PM. According to the sources, CM Yogi Adityanath is likely to discuss major issues in the BJP’s poll manifesto such as loan waiver of farmers. The Cabinet meeting of Uttar Pradesh government will be closely observed by the public of the state as PM Narendra Modi made a promise during the Assembly Elections campaigns of Uttar Pardesh, loan waiver of farmers being one of them.

Siddharth Nath Singh, state Health Minister of Uttar Pradesh told reporters on April 2 that, “The cabinet meeting will be held in the evening on April 4”. In the rallies during UP elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to the people of state that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is elected to power in Uttar Pradesh, the party would waive off the loans of all farmers of the state in the first Cabinet meeting of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Since, Yogi Adityanath took oath as the CM of Uttar Pradesh there had been no such discussion on the loan waiver of farmers from the UP government and as a result, other parties had been blaming the BJP of making such false promises to the people of state. Upon which, the newly elected government of Uttar Pradesh had said that there’s a delay in the Cabinet meeting as the government was projecting out a suitable plan for loan waiver and didn’t desire to take any decision in a hurry.

Strong Law and Order

From several years, there has been a big issue of law and order in Uttar Pradesh and many other parties had previously blamed government of Samajwadi Party led by Akhilesh Yadav of not taking proper care of the law and order in Uttar pradesh. That is the reason, this has been one of the crucial agendas of the government of CM Yogi Adityanath.

Waiver of Loan

During assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi had promised loan waiver to the farmers in his rallies. According to the sources, there are around 2.30 crore farmers in state of Uttar Pradesh and around 2 cr farmers, who fall in the criteria of ‘small and marginal’ category, owe loan of around Rs 62,000 crore to the various banks which they couldn’t repay due to loss of crop last season.

Ensure Women Safety

Women safety is also in the top list of the major issues in the cabinet meeting discussion of Uttar Pradesh government. It has been anticipated that CM Yogi Adityanath will strongly take up this matter to improve the law and order to make sure a healthy and safe environment for women in the state. The government of CM Yogi Adityanath has already launched anti-Romeo squads in the state to control crime against women.

BJP’s Sankalp Patra had made a promise that all the criminals in the state who have been out on parole would be thrown back again in jail in just 45 days after being BJP elected to power in Uttar Pradesh. In the first Cabinet meeting of UP government, CM Yogi Adityanath is expected to discuss this as well.
